Aphasia
Individuals with aphasia KNOW exactly what they want to say, but due to changes in the brain after a stroke or brain injury, it becomes very difficult to communicate using words.
Speech therapy at Blossom will focus on building your skills and strategies to communicate with those that matter most to you. Sessions can focus on any or all of your language skills: speaking, listening, writing, or reading.
We can also help to explore options for technology to help support your communication. Learn more on our AAC page!

What about Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)?
PPA is a neurological condition that results in gradual loss of language skills over time.
We have experience working with individuals with PPA and can work with you to help maintain your language skills.
We also help develop strategies and tools to help manage the loss of language abilities.
