Support your Communication
Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is a means of communicating outside of, or in addition to, verbal speech. AAC has many forms, such as picture books and gestures.
Often, technology is used with designated tablets, iPads, or computers that serve as a speech-generating device. These tools provide a personalized and robust means of communication for speaking, reading, writing, and understanding.
Blossom offers AAC evaluations for adults with aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, or other communication needs (such as eye gaze for ALS). These AAC tools are often covered by insurance, and we can help support you in this process. Contact us HERE to get more information and to schedule an evaluation.
Lingraphica is one popular option for an AAC device.
We have a loaner device on hand so that you can try it right away!
